Skreeches are poltergeists that absolutely love to create nasty, goosebumps inducing, almost physically hurting sound. A really nasty one will be able to leave a lasting Tinnitus. Many are simply little critters having a laugh while you cut your food on a plate and scratch the porcelain with the fork. How to fight it
Shoo them away. While not afraid of any sound (They gravitate towards guns and canons), they do not like fast movement. Their extremely sharp fingernails are something to beware of. Otherwise they're just annoying.gab
